Found From Above is operated by Post Up, LLC, a Georgia limited liability company ("Found From Above," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through foundfromabove.com and our booking process, how we use it, and who we share it with. Questions: hello@foundfromabove.com or (423) 556-3927.
Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Search requests: your name, email, phone number, the location of the search, the type of service (deer recovery, lost pet, or livestock), details about the animal and the property, and anything you write in the message field.
- Pilot applications and profiles: your name and business name, contact details, service area, services offered, rates, aircraft and equipment, FAA Part 107 information, and proof of insurance.
- Communications: emails, calls, and messages you exchange with us about a request, a booking, or a job.
Information collected automatically:
- Our website host and form provider may record technical details such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of a visit or form submission. The site does not run advertising trackers.
Payment information:
- When a payment is collected through the platform, it is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy covers its handling of payment data.
How we use information
- To respond to search requests and pilot applications.
- To match a customer with a pilot, dispatch the pilot, and coordinate the job, including sharing the details each side needs (see Sharing, below).
- To collect and process payments, deposits, and refunds.
- To send booking confirmations, job updates, and requests for reviews.
- To maintain pilot profiles, including verification of Part 107 certification and insurance.
- To improve the service, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
- With the pilot assigned to a job: the customer's name, phone number, search location, and job details.
- With the customer: the pilot's name, business name, phone number, quoted rate, and arrival window.
- With service providers that run our operations: website hosting (GitHub Pages), form processing (FormSubmit), email (Google), and payments (Stripe). These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
- For legal reasons: if required by law, court order, or a lawful request from a government agency, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Reviews and job outcomes
After a completed job we may ask the customer for a review. Reviews, pilot names, and general job outcomes (for example, that a search took place in a given county) may be published on pilot profiles. We will not publish a customer's full address or phone number.
Data retention
We keep request, booking, and pilot records for as long as needed to operate the service and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You may ask us to delete your personal information by emailing hello@foundfromabove.com. We will delete it unless we are required to keep it by law.
Your choices
- Access, correction, deletion: email us to see, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Marketing: if we ever send marketing email, you can opt out with one click or a reply, and we will stop.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The service is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version will always be posted on this page with its "last updated" date. Material changes will be noted on the site.
